About Winning
For Alabama

We, the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, believe it is important to do what we can to make our state a better place to work and live. For us, that includes helping increase economic opportunities for everyone in Alabama, and we believe gaming done right can be a winning strategy for creating good paying jobs that support families and bring in tourists’ dollars.

We know that many of you feel the same way, and we understand you are frustrated that your wants and concerns are not being heard. So, we have developed a game plan for change –  “Winning for Alabama”.

“Winning for Alabama” is an opportunity to be part of team made up folks from across the state who are focused on the future, actively communicate, and understand that gaming can bring the economic growth that Alabama needs.

“Winning for Alabama” provides tools for you to let legislators know you support harnessing the power of gaming to better our state and that ultimately, Alabamians deserve an opportunity to vote on making that possible. We also believe that it is important to provide a reliable source of accurate information as to what gaming legislation lawmakers in Montgomery might be considering, as well as how your representative votes on any particular bill.

We invite you to be part of a team focused on “Winning for Alabama”. We believe that the time has finally come for your voice to be heard. There is strength in numbers, and we believe success can come when we work collectively around a common goal.

About the Poarch Band of Creek Indians

We are descendants of a segment of the original Creek Nation that once covered almost all of Alabama and Georgia. The Poarch Creek Indians have lived together for almost 200 years in and around the reservation in Poarch, Alabama (near Atmore in rural Escambia County, about 57 miles east of Mobile).

Our ancient culture shapes our identity, and we work hard to preserve that heritage while contributing to economic, educational, social and cultural initiatives for both Tribal Members and our home state.

In this effort to “Win for Alabama,” we want to join our neighbors across the state to create opportunities that will improve the quality of life for all. To learn more about the Poarch Band of Creek Indians visit www.pci-nsn.gov
